Back by popular demand!  Join us at Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling for primitive teachings holiday camp with highly skilled woodsman, Michael Sottosanti. Michael has very intimate ties to nature, living off the land and in the woods with only two companions (his dog and horse) for many years. His vast abilities allow an endless amount of skills to be taught and questions to be answered. Michael has ignited and maintained the attention of hundreds of youth through his depth of knowledge and gentle style.

Michael will lead the group in nature walks with animal tracking and plant identification, campers will make their own primitive tool using unique stones and rocks, and there will be various demonstrations like making arrowheads, stone tool making, fast-friction fire building, sonic boom from a Bullwhip, and learning about kinetic energy.

For lunch hot dogs will be provided and campers can cook over a group made fast-friction fire outside. We will also have delicious marshmallows to roast over the fire!

Bring: bagged lunch (if you don’t prefer hotdogs), water bottle, and drink for lunch, and wear clothing suitable for outdoor activities.
